If I learned anything from my Under $800 Crown victoria and my old Taurus, it's always more than a tune up and paint job When you buy it, park it and buy a new Radiator,Water pump,and thermostat.Install and flush, do a full tuneup..... seafoam the heck out of it, then you have a decent Ford ;)
It's always the cooling system with my Fords :/

It's always the Cooling system with EVERY Windsor motor powered Ford. Add to the list a fan clutch. Order one for a 1991 Dodge Dakota 4wd with the 5.2 V8 (Hayden part #2783). It's spec'd as a severe duty clutch and bolts right up. Keeps the fan distance from the shroud EXACTLY the same. Get a 9 blade fan from a fox Mustang as well. Stock fan on the fox TBird is 7 blade
